Donna Marceron Murrah is a 200HR RYT, who began practicing yoga about 16 years ago in the Exumas, Bahamas. She was introduced to the Astanga practice and through it came a love for yoga and the benefits it provided for her health and well-being. After a modified teacher training in the islands with her Astanga teacher, her desire to learn and move deeper into her practice surfaced. Donna completed the YogaWorks teacher training in Washington D. C. in July 2008 and is Yoga Alliance Certified. Donna was born and raised in Amarillo. She retired from Southwest Airlines in 2001, traveled extensively on a 36′ sailboat and has moved back to Amarillo from Ft. Lauderdale Fl. in 2011.
She taught at multiple studios and affiliations including The Bombay Room, Red Pearl Yoga, The Yoga Joint, Ft. Lauderdale Yacht Club, Auto Nation and specialty classes including Silver Sneakers. Donna has attended The Yoga Journal Conferences and taken numerous workshops with master teachers such as Jason Crandell, Sean Corne, The Yee’s, Bryan Kest, and Doug Keller She teaches a variety of styles including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Iyengar, as well as Chair Yoga. Her love is Vinyasa with attention toward correct alignment, stability, and extension in postures. She is the owner of the Yoga Mat and is also available for private sessions.
